This particular 71’’ square Log Cabin quilt design is called Barn Raising because of the way the blocks radiate out from the center in light and dark rings. The 1900-1920 era fabrics were more likely pieced in the 20s-30s but maker and date of quilt is unknown. I purchased the mint condition quilt top at an estate sale decades ago and had it professionally quilted in 2013. The chick print backing is new fabric and the binding is newly added but done with vintage fabric in keeping with the age of the fabrics in the top. The quilt top and quilt have never been laundered but may contain fabrics that were laundered before being pieced into the quilt top. Launder as if washing an antique quilt.
Batting is either 100% cotton.
