The Night and Day quilt was designed and pieced by Sharon Holland for her Utility-Style Quilts for Everyday Living book (published by Landauer Publishing 2017). This faux Log Cabin quilt design mimics a traditional Log Cabin block in a Sunshine and Shadow arrangement. This graphic scrap quilt is made with new and vintage fabrics and the fuchsia solid center that represent the hearth of the home in traditional Log Cabin blocks, relates to the modern fuchsia Allison Glass batik backing fabric. The 87’’ square quilt was professionally quilted in wavy parallel lines and has 100% unbleached cotton batting.
